The evening action on Thursday comes from Chelmsford and these three could be worth a second look.

Glory Of Paris
6.30 Chelmsford

Mick Appleby has developed a reputation for improving recruits, and Glory Of Paris shaped with obvious promise when finishing runner-up on his first start for the yard over course and distance last month.

He is able to race off the same mark as for that neck second – so is 2lb well in – and his victory off a higher mark for previous trainer Rod Millman reaffirms he is well treated.

Crossing The Line
7.30 Chelmsford

Crossing The Line was firmly on the up during the summer and, based on Racing Post Ratings, has improved with every start this year. The lightly raced three-year-old has proved her effectiveness on the surface and remains open to further improvement, so is a filly to fear if ready to roll on her return from a 105-day absence.

Saaheq
8.30 Chelmsford

Saaheq was a beaten favourite on Fibresand last time but he was by no means disgraced in a close-up fifth and it would be no surprise were he to bounce back. His best performance in four starts for previous trainer Brian Meehan came at this course, so there are no issues with the Polytrack surface, and he remains unexposed having won twice from four starts for Mick Appleby.
