Tonight's racing: three interesting runners to note at Tipperary
Racing takes place at Fontwell, Sedgefield and Bellewstown this evening following afternoon cards at Carlisle, Musselburgh and Chelmsford.Arguably the pick of the action is at Tipperary, though, and here are three horses worth noting
The Broghie Man
The Broghie Man has been a useful money-spinner for Adrian Keatley since arriving from Brendan Duke, and looks overpriced in the 5f Listed contest tonight.
He ran a couple of satisfactory races on fast ground on his last two starts behind Sioux Nation and Blue Uluru, but thrives with some ease underfoot. With the ground yielding, he can go well against a few types who appreciate quicker going.
He is the second highest-rated runner in the field and Gerald Mosse, who has built a good association with the horse, arrives in Ireland for just the one ride in a winnable race.
The Eddie Lynam-trained filly confirmed herself as one to follow when winningnicely on her debut last season. On her second start, she was pitched in at the deep end to finishfourth, beaten five and three-quarter lengths by Happily in the Moyglare, but she has not fired since.
Entitled to need her first outing of the campaign, Muirin finished down the field in a Listed contest at Gowran Park this month and it would be disappointing if she couldn't take a step forward from that.
The daughter of Born To Sea still needs to prove that she has trained on, but rates as a type with Pattern-race potential, and her eyecatching juvenile campaign is difficult to forget.
Willie Mullins is a man to keep on the right side of on the Flat and saddles Sayar in the concluding maiden. He was thought of as one of the stable's better novice hurdlers at thebeginning of last season, but injury scuppered his progress, and he hasn't been seen sincefinishing a well-beaten seventh behind Getabird at Fairyhouse in April.
Mullins has booked Colin Keane for the ride and has proved on countless occasions his ability to ready a horse first time out. Well-backed overnight, he can take this before possibly tackling some lucrative handicaps in the autumn.
