'Time heads got knocked together' - Hexham boss angry at fixture list delay

Frustrated Hexham chief Robert Whitelock feels it is "about time that heads got knocked together" after news emerged of a delay to producing a fixture list for the last four months of the year.

Whitelock is angry at the limbo in which the course has already lost two-thirds of its meetings in 2020 and is not certain when it will finally be able to race.

The emergency fixture list adopted when racing resumed after lockdown extends only to the end of August and a stand-off between the Racecourse Association and the Horsemen's Group means no decision has been made over whether the sport will then return to a more normal programme.
