There are four meetings this evening with action from Sligo, Newcastle, Leopardstown and Sandown. Here are three horses that could be worth watching.

Centroid
6.30 Leopardstown

There are not many people who, in the possession of a half-brother to a horse as wondrously talented as Enable, would have the patience to wait until more than halfway through the colt's three-year-old campaign to finally take off the bubble wrap, but then Dermot Weld is a famously patient man. Given Centroid's breeding, being by Dansili and out of Concentric who has also produced the Group-placed Contribution, means expectation will be sky-high and his is a debut certainly worth watching.

Too Darn Hot
6.35 Sandown

Just five minutes later the Queen runs her first offspring out of Estimate against another blueblooded debutant in the John Gosden-trained Too Darn Hot. The juvenile is out of three-time Group 1 winner Dar Re Mi and a full-brother to the talented pair of So Mi Dar and Lah Ti Dar. Dar Re Mi was beaten a neck on debut, but her star offspring both won – So Mi Dar by a neck and Lah Ti Dar by six lengths – while of her other two progeny, De Treville was second, beaten a length and a half, and Erdogan was third, beaten four and a quarter lengths.

Eziyra
8.05 Leopardstown

Dermot Weld's patience is further evidenced in Eziyra's presence in the Group 3 Ballyroan Stakes. She finished last season with back-to-back Group 3 wins, but Weld suggested it was always the plan to wait until the backend of the season to get rolling with her at four. She was third in Enable's Irish Oaks and surely a return to Group 1 level is in the offing, so it will be worth watching to see how she gets on here.
