Burke back for more in race he won last year with Laurens

Karl Burke landed this race with subsequent double Group 1-winner Laurens a year ago and is back for another crack with Divinity, who is one of three horses he trains for Cheveley Park Stud.

The daughter of Dutch Art should be fine with any cut in the ground as she showed when scoring by three lengths on her second start at Nottingham last month.

Divinity followed up under a penalty in a novice event at Thirsk, where Burke thinks she put up a better performance than it looks on paper.

He said: "Divinity is a nice filly who has won two novices, but her win at Thirsk was better then the bare result suggests as they went a hell of a gallop when she was taken on for the lead.

"Thankfully the other horse dropped away and she went on to win, but she could be a bit under the radar. She's a different model to Laurens but some black-type would be nice."

Rare visitor

Colm O'Donoghue will have just his fifth ride in as many years at the South Yorkshire track when linking up with the exciting Godolphin filly Dubai Beauty, who lived up to her name when overcoming some smart sorts on her debut at Newmarket last month.

The Saeed Bin Suroor-trained juvenile has history on her side as she is a daughter of Frankel, who himself created such a big impression on his second start on Town Moor back in 2010.

Well drawn when accounting for the more streetwise Posted on the July course, Dubai Beauty was not stopping up the hill that day and the step up to a mile should suit.

Since her debut win, Dubai Beauty has excelled in her work on the Limekilns working grounds in Newmarket and she is not expected to be inconvenienced by any rain.

Bin Suroor, who has won the juvenile fillies' feature twice in the past decade with White Moonstone (2010) and Ihtimal (2013), said: “Dubai Beauty won well at Newmarket and has been working nicely. This is a step up into Group company, but the mile should suit and I'm hoping for a good run.”

Johnston first?

Mark Johnston saddled the classy Nyaleti to be third in the straight mile contest a year ago, and this time relies on the consistent Accordance.

The daughter of Archipenko ran into smart prospect Zofelle on her debut on Town Moor in July before going one better at Goodwood, when showing plenty of guts and determination

She acquitted herself well when runner-up on her first Group assignment back at the Sussex track since then, but the prospect of soft ground is an unknown.

Johnston said: "Accordance is a consistent sort who has had three runs on fast ground. We don't know how she'll handle any ease, but she should appreciate stepping up to a mile."

It's a big step up from winning her maiden at Kempton on the all-weather. She should be fine with the trip and it's a race we like. She's pleased at home since and hopefully she can get some black-type.
