All you need to start your day including going from all the tracks
Brighton's festival of racing continues on Thursday, with the feature Brighton Challenge (3.30) giving horses rated up to 82 the opportunity to race for a first prize of all but £12,700.
That card is backed up by afternoon action from Yarmouth and Haydock, the latter providing a Class 2 fillies' handicap (4.10) which, at least in terms of ratings, trumps the Challenge.
The evening action comes from Newcastle, Sandown, Leopardstown and Sligo.

There's also a rare burst of optimism from Bruce Millington ahead of the Premier League season.
Final thought
The outside prospect of a tooth-and-nail fight for the trainers' title throws new light on the changes made to the championship in 2016. With earnings now counted until December 31, the idea of, say, Sir Michael Stoute and John Gosden throwing their last darts at all-weather meetings in the days after the King George strikes as a surreal denouement.
