Three runners to note tonight at Wolverhampton
It has been a busy Saturday with lots of jump racing and the final Flat turf action of the season at Doncaster. However, there is still room for some evening fare at Wolverhampton and here are three interesting runners on the card.
Fast Act(5.50)
As a two-year-old Fast Act was rated in excess of 100 and finished fourth in the Flying Childers. Now five, his career has taken a downward trajectory, but he has the ability to take advantage of a career-low mark of 70.
Fast Act has won on the all-weather before and has the plum draw in stall one, so he has a good chance of recording a fourth career victory.
Global Exceed (6.20)
This juvenile has been progressing nicely on turf for Ed Dunlop and now switches to the all-weather in search of a third win in his last four starts.
His previous try on the all-weather did not go to plan when finishing sixth at Kempton having been sent off favourite, but that was over seven furlongs and he has since proved very effective at sprint trips.
Peach Melba (6.50)
From Germany to Wolverhampton, that's the path this three-year-old filly has taken.
Winner of a Listed race at Hanover last time, Peach Melba is a typically tough Mark Johnston-trained horse, as she is having her 15th start of the season tonight.
She has already won five times, and bids to complete a second hat-trick of the year.
