Cold weather could play havoc with the jump racing programme this weekend, but it takes a lot to stop the all-weather show rolling, and there's a double dose this evening at Dundalk and Newcastle. Here's three runners it could pay to note.

5.45 Newcastle
Evince

In the last five seasons Hugo Palmer has only had four three-year-olds run at Newcastle, and two have won. He has two runners for the 5.45, and the betting suggests Evince could make a winning start.

The filly has plenty of winners in her pedigree, and while she should stay further in time, this looks a good starting point over 7f.

6.30 Dundalk
Zaofu

Joseph O'Brien has been making successful raids to Britain lately on the all-weather and he stays closer to home this evening with four runners at Dundalk.

Of the quartet, Zaofu looks very interesting, as he makes his handicap debut off a mark of 77. The lightly-raced six-year-old was formerly with Joseph's father Aidan, and having won over course and distance last time for Joseph, bids to follow up.

8.15 Newcastle
Breathoffreshair

Richard Guest is hoping to live the American dream with Udontdodou next month, and while stablemate Breathoffreshair will do well to reach those heights, he bids for a four-timer here.

The four-year-old loves Newcastle, with three straight wins, the last of which came in November. Although up another 6lb, he is still only on a mark of 59 and could have more to offer.
