Happily’s Group 1 form as a juvenile stands out. She had Masar, my 2,000 Guineas fancy, back in third when landing the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Chantilly last October, and her Breeders’ Cup defeat can safely be erased from memory.

The fact that she started favourite for the Juvenile Fillies Turf tells its own story about her level of form plus the regard in which she is held. As long as she has trained on from two to three, she should take plenty of beating under Ryan Moore, who rushes back from Churchill Downs to take the mount.
