Sam Twiston-Davies spent Saturday watching racing across three channels on a television and tablet while eagerly anticipating his release from hospital and a return to racing he hopes will take place in three weeks' time.

Paul Nicholls' stable jockey is under observation in hospital after suffering internal injuries following a horror fall sustained at Chepstow eight days ago.

"I'm hoping to get out tomorrow but it might be three weeks before I'm back racing," said Twiston-Davies on Sunday.
