Three interesting runners to note on tonight's cards
There is all-weather action from both Britain and Ireland this evening, with Dundalk starting at 5.30 and racing from Newcastle kicking off 15 minutes later. Here are three runners of interest
Mobbhij made favourite backers sweat at Chelmsford, but he stayed on powerfully in the closing stages to make a winning debut and should benefit from that experience. This step-up in trip to two miles should suit given the way he stayed on so strongly over 1m5½f, and an opening mark of 83 does not look harsh, particularly as the excellent David Egan takes off 3lb.
Course-and-distance winner Dancing Doll has performed with promise on three occasions since sent handicapping, and she could yet be open to further improvement having raced just seven times. She shaped better than the bare result would indicate at Bellewstown last time, finishing sixth after meeting trouble behind subsequent Lartigue Hurdle winner On The Go Again, and this contest looks slightly weaker.
Sanus Per Aquam
Sanus Per Aquam was successful in a Group 3 and placed at the highest level as a two-year-old, but he has been lightly raced and largely disappointing since. However, he makes his return from a four-month break with the Jim Bolger yard in flying form and is favoured by the terms of this 1m2½f conditions race. This trip could prove his optimum and offers a good chance to register an overdue victory.
