Three interesting runners to note from Carlisle and Windsor
It's ladies' night at Carlisle with the card restricted to female professional and amateur riders. Mondays also mean evening racing at Windsor and here are three runners to note . . .
Richard Hannon-trained winners are a regular occurrence at Windsor, and Buridan could be another for the yard. The three-year-old has been progressing well this season with two wins from four starts and the form of his latest run when fourth at Newmarket looks good in this grade. He finished behind Foxtrot Lady, who finished a creditable sixth when sent off favourite for the Stewards' Cupat the weekend.
Although up 8lb for a win at York last time, Airglow did well to win on the Knavesmire and could have more to offer for Mick Easterby. He remains unexposed as a sprinter and Nicola Currie's 3lb claim helps to offset the rise.
Sandfrankskipsgo broke a losing streak stretching nearly two years when successful at Lingfield last month and bids to follow up for trainer Peter Crate and jockey Tom Queally. The nine-year-old is up only 2lb and is potentially well treated on his previous wins off higher marks. He is also a course-and-distance winner and, now back in the winning habit, might be able to go in again.
