Richard Fahey: expects dark horse Wilde Oscar to win racesCredit: Louise Pollard

Following the afternoon action, there is something for all tastes in the evening with a jumps meeting at Kilbeggan and two Flat fixtures at Windsor and Southwell. Here we pick out three horses it could pay to follow

Wilde Oscar
5.20 Southwell

Rated as a dark horse in the recent Richard Fahey stable tour in the Racing Post, when the trainer said: "If he went and won seven or eight races I wouldn't be shocked."

A big horse who hasn't got it all together yet, if the penny starts to drop the vibes suggest he could be worth following.

Today could be the day hopes are realised as the three-year-old maiden returns in a first-time visor to a track where he ran his best race so far.

Kinglami
6.10 Windsor

There has been rain around in Berkshire in recent days and any more would be welcomed as the John O'Shea-trained nine-year-old has recorded eight of his nine wins on soft or heavy ground.

A three-time winner over course and distance, he was slowly away at the track last week before making late headway to finish fifth.

A lot of the opposition are returning after breaks and the time could be right to catch the experienced sprinter as drops back down in grade.

Stay Humble
8.00 Kilbeggan

Newly crowned champion Willie Mullins sending just one horse to a meeting is a rarity in the extreme but he does that at Kilbeggan this evening.

The five-year-old, who will be ridden by the trainer's son Patrick, has his third run in a bumper having been beaten at odds-on in his first two.

The point-to-point winner showed improved form last time and should be able to make it third time lucky.
