Three horses to keep an eye on at Chelmsford

Richard Kingscote: has every chance of a winner at Chelmsford
1 of 1

There is racing, racing and more racing everywhere this weekend and Saturday's evening's offering comes from Chelmsford, where an eight-race card kicks off at 5.50. Here are three horses it could pay to follow.

Dark Red
6.50 Chelmsford

Best known of late for being thrown out of the opening race of this year's Qatar Goodwood Festival, Dark Red has been running consistently in decent handicaps this season and boasts course and distance form too. He can get his head in front this evening.

El Astronaute
7.50 Chelmsford

Richard Kingscote is among the jockeys making the short trip from Newmarket to Chelmsford and he will surely be hopeful of a bold showing from El Astronaute. He made a pleasing all-weather debut at Chelmsford in August and this evening's race represents a slight drop in class from his previous outing.

Binky Blue
8.50 Chelmsford

David Egan has had a wonderful 2017 and he can end his Saturday on a high with Binky Blue. Her run last time was more promising and she looks capable of exploiting a mark of 53, having won off as high as 65 in March 2016.
