Three horses that could make an impression at Saint-Cloud on Tuesday

In the second of two newcomers' races packed with blue-blood pedigrees, Pierre-Charles Boudot will carry the familiar purple colours of Derrick Smith aboard Royaume-Uni for his boss, Andre Fabre.

Bred by Coolmore, Royaume Uni is a Galileo half-brother to none other than King George hero Novellist as well as two other stakes performers.

Like many of his rivals he holds entries in the Prix du Jockey Club and the Grand Prix de Paris and whatever he achieves on debut, he could be a horse to follow as the season progresses.

Fabre also fields Woodstock Park, while another potentially interesting candidate is Tiger Touch, Al Shaqab's homebred son of Triple Crown hero American Pharoah.

Tiger Touch is trained by Nicolas Clement, who took one of the two maidens for unraced three-year-olds at the track seven days ago.

A 250,000gns purchase at Tattersalls, Hamdan Al Maktoum's Waahaat could easily be unbeaten, despite doing plenty wrong on her second start on the Deauville all-weather.

Having made all when winning here on debut, Cristian Demuro was clearly trying to educate the daughter of Sea The Stars when attempting to take a lead second time up, only for Waahaat to pull very hard early on.

The way she caught the leader without coming off the bridle spoke of a talented horse, albeit she was beaten in a heads up, heads down finish.

Stablemate Black Fever got off the mark in her third start, while the form was partly franked when runner-up Ebaiyra filled the same spot behind Solstica at Chantilly on Monday.

Farafra
12.10 Prix d'Estruval

Jumps fans missing the action after a double-header at Auteuil over the weekend should make sure to tune in for the fifth race on the card, essentially a graded bumper for AQPS jumps-bred horses. Farafra doesn't have a conventional profile, having run 11 times in her previous two seasons, all in this type of race.

The daughter of Martaline has a win in a similar race at the track on heavy ground to her credit, while of equal interest is the fact she is the sole representative of training duo Etienne and Gregoire Leenders, who have won four of the last 11 editions of the Prix d'Estruval.
