Thornton has starring role as jumps awards whet the appetite for what's to come
The McCoy after whom The McCoys are named – not the seventh Doctor – is expressing some concern as we approach dessert.
One of Sir Anthony's roles during this celebration of last season's jumping at Jockey Club tracks is to say a few introductory words about the winner of the Judges' Choice award while maintaining an air of suspense by not revealing the chosen one's identity (it's Tiger Roll). Understandably, he is not sure how this is possible.
A member of the organising team imparts the news to Alice Plunkett, joint-host for the evening alongside Rishi Persad. Always caring, Plunkett leaves her seat to deliver supportive advice to the dual Peterborough Chase-winning jockey.
