'This will be right up her street' - the key quotes for Thursday's action

After Baaeed dazzled on day two at Goodwood, Thursday brings us the return of Nashwa in the Qatar Nassau Stakes while the Galway Hurdle takes centre stage on day four at the Galway festival. Here we pick out six key quotes from trainers about their runners . . .

Thursday's racecards| Big-race tips| Watch In The Know

1.50 Goodwood: Coral Kincsem Handicap, 1m2f

Tom Ward, trainer of Asgoodassobergets:

"We were delighted with his run at Ascot when he just bumped into one. He's improved from that, so in what is a competitive race he shouldn't be far away."

Forecast SP: 8-1

2.25 Goodwood: Richmond Stakes, 6f

Oliver Cole, joint-trainer of Royal Scotsman:

"Ideally, he would have liked to have had a bit of cover in the Coventry as he probably did a bit too much on the far side and would have preferred a lead. He's in great form and hopefully he should run a really big race. He's very quick and has won at Goodwood before."

Forecast SP: 13-8f

2.45 Galway: Guinness Open Gate Brewery Novice Chase, 2m2f

Peter Fahey, trainer of Visionarian:

"I thought he jumped brilliantly at Wexford. He really took to it. We we've been looking forward to getting him started over fences. It was always the plan to come to Galway for this after he won at Wexford and, while it's an open and quality race, I think he has a decent chance."

Forecast SP: 7-1

Ed Crisford, joint-trainer of West Wind Blows:

"He's improving mentally with each run and turning into a man now and we're looking forward to getting him back into Group company. He's an exciting horse to have on our hands and, if he runs well, he's certainly a horse we'd be thinking about for the St Leger."

Forecast SP: 11-2

3.35 Goodwood: Qatar Nassau Stakes, 1m2f

Ed Walker, trainer of Dreamloper:

"She is much better than her last run at the Curragh, where it chucked it down as we were saddling and the ground was bottomless. If I had my time again, I'd pull her out. She beat the colts in France previously and though that wasn't the strongest of Group 1s, she won it by two lengths, not a short head. This easy ten furlongs will be right up her street and I just pray the rains stay away as she wants proper top of the ground."

Forecast SP: 8-1

5.05 Galway: Guinness Galway Hurdle Handicap, 2m

Dermot McLoughlin, trainer of Santa Rossa:

"She never shows you much at home, but she always turns it on when she gets to the track. She's done well since Tipperary and everything has gone according to plan. I think a race like this will suit her."

Forecast SP: 6-1
