Paddy Twomey believes long-time ante-post favourite Earl Of Tyrone could be tailor-made for the £500,000 Sky Bet Ebor, as the Irish trainer prepares to launch a potent two-pronged attack on York next week.

A 34 per cent strike-rate in Ireland this year reflects the major impact Twomey has been making on home soil, but the Group 1-winning trainer will be seeking his first victory in Britain at the Ebor festival, having had just five British runners so far.

Earl Of Tyrone, a 7-1 chance with the big-race sponsors, has been one of Twomey's finds of the season, having joined the Tipperary-based handler at the beginning of the campaign.
