The Punt Daily: Tom Collins's free racing tips on Tuesday

BANKER

Clon Coulis(3.15 Pontefract)

This looks a strong edition of the Listed Pipalong Stakes, maybe even the best renewal over the last ten years, but I fully expect last year's impressive winner Clon Coulis to retain her crown for David Barron and Jamie Spencer. The five-year-old mare, who has won five of 12 career starts, overcame a poor start and slow pace to win this by two-and-three-quarter lengths last year, sauntering into contention before bursting clear, and on the basis of her Royal Ascot second when last seen, you have to believe she is in even better form this time around. She ran incredibly well in the Royal Hunt Cup, flying home to be beaten just a nose in the 28-runner contest, and a repeat of that would surely see her run out a cosy victor.

EYECATCHER

Princess Florence(8.10 Brighton)

John Ryan's filly took 15 attempts to get off the mark but did it in fine style over this course and distance a week ago and although she is running off 8lb higher (penalty and extra 2lb after rider Cieren Fallon's claim was reduced), she looks to have a good chance of following up. Helped by a decent pace, which she should get here, Princess Florence picked up well under pressure coming down the hill seven days ago and had the race in safekeeping with over a furlong to go. She hangs down the camber under pressure, but hopefully she will be clear by that point under Fallon, who has a good record aboard the three-year-old (form figures 231).
