'The one I fear most is Broomfield Burg' - the most revealing trainer quotes

Another brilliant weekend of racing is upon us, with the big highlight being the Betfair Hurdle (3.35) at Newbury, as well as the Kingmaker (2.05) at Warwick. Read on to get the best of what the trainers have to offer before racing.

Saturday racecards | Big-race tips | Watch In The Know

Betfair Cheltenham Roarcast Novices' Limited Handicap Chase, 2m7½f

Paul Nicholls, trainer of Bravemansgame:

"He was always going to run on this day as his prep for Cheltenham and I've left plenty to work on, he's not wound up to win at Newbury. There's plenty to work on between now and Cheltenham and I'm very happy with him."

Overnight price: 4-5

2.05 Warwick
Virgin Bet Kingmaker Novices' Chase (Grade 2), 2m

Dan Skelton, trainer of Third Time Lucki:

"We can turn the tables [on Edwardstone] with the ground in our favour. I believe, having seen more of our horse, he's effective when he can use all of his speed, like at Doncaster. As much as the ground was a little soft for us at Sandown, it was his third quick run at the start of the season, which was part of our undoing. I was happy with what I saw in the Lightning last time. Warwick will suit and we've worked out how to ride him now."

Overnight price: 13-8

2.25 Newbury
Betfair Denman Chase (Grade 2), 2m7½f

Colin Tizzard, trainer of Eldorado Allen:

"There's only five runners and it looks a nice race for him. The step up in trip will do him good. On ratings he has a bit to find, but this has been the plan for a while."

Overnight price: 8-1

3.00 Newbury
Betfair Exchange Game Spirit Chase (Grade 2), 2m½f

Alan King, trainer of Sceau Royal:

"He's had a good break and I'm very happy with him. He's been good so far this season, the only disappointment is when the trainer messed up and ran him in the International, but apart from that he's been in great form. James [Bowen] rides him for the first time in public, but he schooled him this week and it all went very well. If there's any rain then the ground would be ideal for the old boy."

Overnight price: 2-1

3.15 Warwick
Virgin Bet Warwick Castle Handicap Chase, 2m4f

Brian Ellison, trainer of The King Of May:

"He won well last time and he's working nicely. It's a hot race but I think he's well capable of holding his own."

Overnight price: 9-1

3.35 Newbury
Betfair Hurdle (Grade 3), 2m½f

Ryan Potter, trainer of Jetoile:

"It's a very competitive race and there are more than half a dozen horses who can win it. He's one of them. He deserves to take his chance after his second in the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown, he ran a blinder that day. He's versatile ground-wise and the course should suit him, he has a lot of things in his favour. The one I fear most is Broomfield Burg."

Overnight price: 10-1
