David Mullins was told he is lucky to be able to walk by a doctor who saw his x-ray following a Thurles fall a month ago, but the Grand National-winning jockey is already back on his feet and thinks he could return to action by the time the Cheltenham Festival comes along in March.

Mullins, who won the 2016 Grand National on Rule The World, was airlifted to Cork University Hospital after Lean And Keen crashed out of a Thurles handicap chase at the fourth fence on October 24. He fractured his clavicle and thoracic vertebra (T12).

The 23-year-old can remember it all clearly.
