Qipco British Champions Day is shaping up to be the best since the mighty Frankel graced Ascot with a glittering collection of star horses burnished by an epic battle for the Flat jockeys' championship.

While Oisin Murphy and William Buick scrap it out for the title, a series of mouthwatering match-ups build to the climax of Derby winner Adayar taking on Mishriff in the £1.2 million Qipco Champion Stakes.

The high quality of the final fields has led Ascot supremo Nick Smith to confidently claim the meeting matches the calibre of its formative Frankel years, while ITV lead presenter Ed Chamberlin described the day as "off the charts".
