Plenty of horses have run exceptionally well already, but the beauty of this is you cannot put all the horses you want in.

I'll start off with Nicky Henderson's duo and Chantry House, who finished first and third in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and are some of the best-looking horses going chasing. They are very exciting.

I was impressed with Rouge Vif at Cheltenham. He jumped and travelled brilliantly and could easily put himself in the Champion Chase picture. He could even get two and a half miles as well.

He's a predictable selection, but Envoi Allen was so brilliant the other day. I have never seen a novice jump so accurately and with more scope than he did. He was exceptional.

Kim Bailey's Imperial Aura was a very good horse last year but he's taken another step forward and the world is his oyster. He could be anything.

He may be getting on a bit, but Altior can still run fast and on his day he is still the best two-mile chaser in Britain.

Horses need ability to win races but they also need a good attitude and I did not see a horse with a better attitude last season than Monkfish. He looks like a gorgeous horse to deal with and he'll win lots of races.

I really like The Big Breakaway. I've seen him schooling and he soared over fences when he stood off them. He will be twice the horse he was over hurdles. I'll stick with Lostintranslation, who ran an absolute screamer in the Gold Cup. If he gets a clear run, he will take a lot of beating.

I have finally gone for Aye Right. He ran really well in the Charlie Hall Chase and I still think he is well handicapped to win a big staying chase.
