Punters are relying on bet365 Cambridgeshire (3.35) hot favourite Tempus to deliver in Saturday's big betting heat, with steady morning support seeing the hat-trick seeker cut to 5-1 (from 13-2) with William Hill.

The Roger Charlton-trained four-year-old is the one attracting the most support in the feature at Newmarket, where the ground is described as good (from good, good to soft in places) following a dry spell since Friday morning.

Leading contender Ilaraab, however, will not run. He was a general 10-1 chance before being taken out of the race this morning.

Tempus, the mount of Jason Watson, is two from two in impressive style this season and is a general 11-2 chance with most firms, although the race sponsors make him 6-1.

Bell Rock has also been well backed in the Cambridgeshire, with the mount of Oisin Murphy cut from 11-1 into 8-1.

Another runner for the Watson-Charlton partnership has been supported this morning with Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes (1.50) outsider Pleasant Man cut from 10-1 to 8-1.

Wild Hero, a 150-1 chance, is also out of the Cambridgeshire while yesterday Aloha Star was taken out of the Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes (2.25) – one of two Group 1 races at HQ on Saturday.

In that fillies' Group 1, Miss Amulet still tops the betting at a general 5-2 while impressive Phoenix Stakes winner Lucky Vega is now a clear 9-4 favourite in the Middle Park Stakes (3.00) with Method out to 100-30.

The going is good to soft at Haydock ahead of Goshen's return to action (3.45) after his final-flight disaster in the Triumph Hurdle. He is a 1-2 chance to take advantage of his Flat mark of 88.

And at Market Rasen, where the going remains good, the Paul Nicholls-trained Red Force One continues to attract support in the feature Thank You Rand Farm Park Prelude Handicap Hurdle (2.45). He is a general 4-1 chance to take the Listed contest.
