Newmarket trainer James Tate has called up solicitor Rory Mac Neice to advise him on whether he should lodge an appeal over the disqualification of Namhroodah from a Listed race at Ascot on Friday.

The filly appeared to have made her black type breakthrough when finishing first past the post in the Valiant Stakes but she was demoted to third after a subsequent inquiry found she had interfered with Irish Rookie, who was "bumped against the rail, losing momentum and ground" as she tried to deliver her challenge.
