In-form filly Tarnawa will step up to the highest level on her next start after contributing to a memorable Irish Champions Weekend for Dermot Weld.

The Group 2 Blandford Stakes winner opened plenty of doors with her third Group success at the Curragh on Sunday, and Weld said: "Tarnawa came out of her race well and has three options: the Fillies and Mares Stakes at Ascot on Champions Day, the EP Taylor Stakes in Canada and the Prix de l’Opera on Arc day.

"We’ll decide which one nearer the time. The ground at the Curragh was obviously different to what she encountered at Cork [when winning the Give Thanks Stakes] but she's a very tough filly."

Weld won the Qipco-sponsored Fillies and Mares Stakes with Sapphire in 2012 and Tarnawa is 10-1 to land the 1m4f prize on October 19.

Weld's Irish St Leger winner Search For A Song is as short as 4-1 for the same race but will not run again this season.

"Search For A Song came out of her race well but is finished for the year," said Weld. "She's done us proud and we look forward to a serious campaign next year."

Kastasa gave the trainer another reason to celebrate last weekend, winning a premier handicap at Leopardstown.

The three-year-old was given a 6lb rise to 98 for her success, and her trainer said: "She's had a busy and highly successful year. She may have one more run this year in the Group 3 Loughbrown Stakes."
