The chief executive of Australian betting giant Tabcorp has said he believes there is an opportunity for the company to become involved in pool betting in the UK when Betfred's exclusive licence expires in 2018.

David Attenborough also said he believed there should be "a better tote" than the one currently offered to customers in the UK.

When Fred Done's Betfred bought the Tote in 2011 they received a seven-year exclusive pool betting licence from the government.
