Denis Hogan believes a good draw will give Turbine a big chance of achieving a long-overdue win in the most valuable event on Sunday's Gowran Park card.

The five-year-old has not won since scoring at Newcastle two years ago when trained by Mark Johnston but he has a number of solid placed efforts to his credit, including on his most recent start at Limerick, when he ran Have A Nice Day – a rival again here – to a length over a mile.

Hogan said: "We're meeting Have A Nice Day a few pounds better, and although the furlong-shorter trip probably won't be ideal for our horse, being drawn one around the turning seven furlongs will be a massive help.

"Killian [Leonard] is good value for his 5lb claim, so Turbine looks to have a winning chance."

That Is The Spirit, a course-and-distance winner this month, will be racing off a 5lb higher mark with Chris Hayes again on board.

A six-time winner for David O'Meara, the seven-year-old's trainer Richard O'Brien said: "We've been delighted with That Is The Spirit since his win and this race fits in nicely to his programme.

"In the past he could be a bit unpredictable, but if he produces a performance similar to last time he should have a good chance."

Tribal Warrior, a seven-time winner when trained by Damien English, will be having his first start since joining John Oxx from Willie McCreery.

Jim Bolger is represented by Sometimesadiamond, the only three-year-old in the line-up. The daughter of Vocalised will be making her handicap debut, having been placed at Group 3 and Listed level.
