After a hectic and informative Saturday of racing, Sunday's fare provides something of a breather, although the card at Navan in particular could still have Cheltenham Festival implications.

Grand National hero Tiger Roll is set to warm up for a likely defence of his Cross Country crown next month against five rivals in the Boyne Hurdle (2.20), while the Grade 2 Ten Up Novice Chase (3.25) features two festival winners in Blow By Blow and Champagne Classic, plus the smart Chris's Dream.

Huntingdon and Market Rasen supply some low-key jumps action in Britain, while the early risers can watch a ten-race card at Sha Tin.

What to read

Paul Nicholls had 24 runners across the cards on Saturday and duly dominated, picking up eight winners. While King George victor Clan Des Obeaux confirmed his Gold Cup credentials, Cyrname provided the most significant performance when bolting up in the Ascot Chase.

The racing at Ascot featured some fine winners but also included a big retirement, with 2015 Gold Cup hero Coneygree bowing out after being pulled up in a handicap. Read all about his farewell here.

There are still plenty of FA Cup matches left before the fifth round is completed, including Bristol City's tie against Wolves. You can read a preview for the match at Ashton Gate here.

Final thought

In Mister Whitaker and Glen Forsa, Tim Radford and Mick Channon are beginning to have a very useful hand in some of the bigger jumps races and Hold The Note, set to run in the opener at Huntingdon (1.00), could be the next classy prospect for the pair. The five-year-old could be one for the tracker with the long-term future in mind.
