In a short amount of time Dan Skelton has achieved plenty.

Today he bids for even more when saddling market leader Superb Story in the Guinness Galway Hurdle, worth a cool €300,000, which makes it Ireland's richest jumps race.

Skelton began training in 2013 and smashed through the 100-winner barrier and £1 million-prize-money mark last season when Superb Story provided the son of world champion showjumper Nick with his finest hour by capturing the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
