David Redvers and Peter Molony are chasing the leaders in the Mongol Derby, battling on in what is regarded as the world's toughest, as well as longest, horse race.

The Qatar Racing pair had reached station 17 of 27 in the race yesterday, around 30km behind the leaders, and they have clocked up 600km each, with another 400km to go.

Although fellow Qatar racing team member Kevin Darley had to pull out of the race through severe dehydration, the organisation's boss Sheikh Fahad Al Thani is still going, and he passed the halfway point by the end of the day's racing yesterday.
