Ante-post backers of Betfred Cesarewitch favourite St Michel breathed a collective sigh of relief on Thursday as the 6-1 shot made it into the final field of 34 with one space to spare, but will have to overcome a wide draw in stall 32.

The Sir Mark Prescott-trained three-year-old is officially rated 112 after his Doncaster Cup third, but races off a mark of 93 and has a weight-for-age allowance.

Seven were declared for the day's big race, the Group 1 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes, and trainer Aidan O'Brien has no ground concerns for the 8-11 favourite Churchill.
