Small-field accumulator: try this treble in Kempton's match races
Due to non-runners, there are three consecutive match races at Kempton this evening. But fear not, the returns are still there to be made. Here we go through the races, offering a treble . . .

Statistical vs Kilcara
A tight market that is slightly in favour of Statistical, who undoubtedly has the backclass if he can so much as match last summer's form for Henry de Bromhead returned to fences.
However, the path for Kilcara has been a smoother upward curve. She is bred to take to fences and did so on her debut in November. She finished weakly that day and has since had wind surgery. It is anticipated that she is on a summer campaign, but there's a good chance she is ready for this return to action at a big track.
Verdict: Kilcara

Black Kalanisi vs Settimo Milanese
Another tight heat and you will be taking a punt on fitness either way, as both are returning from at least 169 days off. Black Kalanisi has an upwards profile and remains unexposed over hurdles, but has a longer absence (302 days) to overcome and Settimo Milanese has good handicap form behind him. He is a worthy favourite, subject to being at least as fit as his rival.
Verdict: Settimo Milanese
6.50Tommy Silver vs For Good Measure
On one hand, Tommy Silver is much the more solid. He has form going this way round, form at this course in fact, and has proved himself at a sharp 3m this season.
On the other, For Good Measure is a talented animal, more so than his mark of 129 gives him credit for. The only issue is whether he will show it, he often has not up to now. In a low-pressure environment, it could be worth taking the chance.
Verdict: For Good Measure
With two a shade off odds against and the other just the opposite side of evens, you would not get rich backing these three horses on their own, but put in even a small-stakes treble they could quickly add up to a very pleasant evening. Who says small-field races are not fun?
