David Simcock's assistant Tom Clover plans to set up on his own in Newmarket this autumn when he branches out in partnership with Jackie Jarvis, daughter of the late Classic-winning trainer Michael.

Clover, 30, has spent the last six seasons as understudy at Trillium Place where he has been associated with the likes of Group 1 winners Dream Ahead, I’m A Dreamer and Madame Chiang.

The 30-year-old plans to lease 25 boxes at Lydia Pearce's Wroughton House stables at the foot of the famous Warren Hill training grounds.
