Simcock understudy Clover planning to set up on own in October

Tom Clover: due to set up in Newmarket in partnership with Jackie Jarvis

David Simcock's assistant Tom Clover plans to set up on his own in Newmarket this autumn when he branches out in partnership with Jackie Jarvis, daughter of the late Classic-winning trainer Michael.

Clover, 30, has spent the last six seasons as understudy at Trillium Place where he has been associated with the likes of Group 1 winners Dream Ahead, I’m A Dreamer and Madame Chiang.

The 30-year-old plans to lease 25 boxes at Lydia Pearce's Wroughton House stables at the foot of the famous Warren Hill training grounds.
