Too Darn Hot's brother Darain set to make debut in October
Too Darn Hot may have been retired prematurely but it will not be long until his full brother Darain is in action, with David Redvers, racing manager to owners Qatar Racing, revealing the 3.5 million guineas purchase could make it to the course in October.
The sale topper from last year's Tattersalls October Yearling Sale is out of wondermare turned wonderdam Dar Re Mi – who also produced Lah Ti Dar, a Group 2 winner and still in training, as well as Group 3 winner and one-time Oaks fancy So Mi Dar who, like Too Darn Hot, raced for owner-breeder Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Hopes for the next generation of Dar Re Mi's offspring rest with Darain, who looks like making his racecourse debut slightly later in his juvenile career than Too Darn Hot, the three-time Group 1 winner who made his two-year-old debut in August last year.
