'She has to go in at the deep end' - Prescott eyes Adayar date for Alpinista

Alpinista, a three-time winner at the highest level last season, is in line to meet last year's Derby winner Adayar when she returns to action in the Group 1 Coronation Cup at Epsom on June 3.

Trained by Sir Mark Prescott for owner-breeder Kirsten Rausing, Alpinista rattled off three consecutive Group 1 wins in Germany in 2021 and took the notable scalp of subsequent Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Torquator Tasso in the Grosser Preis von Berlin at Hoppegarten in August.

She is likely to be campaigned closer to home this year, although her season will be geared towards a trip to France and a tilt at the Arc on the first Sunday in October, according to her trainer.
