Did well in the circumstances
Golden Valour
Fourth, Ayr, September 16
Lost a good pitch up the home straight and by the time he had extricated himself from an unfavourable position it was too late to get seriously involved. He is yet to make a significant impact since leaving Ireland but this display suggests he is one to keep an eye on.
Granary Queen
Second, Kempton, September 16
Not seen on the all-weather for more than a year and, having just her third start away from turf, passed every rival bar the winner in the home straight. She's a hardy, consistent performer.
Eyecatchers
Pendlebury Lane
Seventh, Beverley, September 14
A half-sister to a couple of useful winning sprinters and showed more than the result indicated on this racecourse debut. Open to bundles of improvement.
Tipp Town
Fifth, Ayr, September 15
Sales ring value rose from €18,000 as a foal to £32,000 as a yearling and caught the eye on his debut after a slow start in a race that didn't suit those held up. He should be all the wiser for this.
Small Oasis
Third, Naas, September 15
Ran with a good deal of promise on her debut. She was exceptionally green when making headway but still made good late ground and could be capable of above-average improvement. She will get further. A really good-looking filly by Sioux Nation, her dam won at up to a mile and a quarter and there is plenty of stamina in her pedigree.
Hobson Point
Second, Pontefract, September 15
A half-brother to five-furlong juvenile Listed winner Attagirl and multiple-sprint winner Symbol Of Hope. Caught the eye on his debut when not subjected to an unduly hard ride late on. He can improve for the experience.
Mr Trick
Third, Pontefract, September 15
Didn't get the best of runs from quite a way back and didn't get an unduly hard ride. Handily weighted, he's one to keep in mind.
Tafreej
Third, Newbury, September 16
Appeared to show considerable improvement on what he'd achieved on his debut at Haydock on good to firm ground at the start of the month, although he still appeared green when brought under pressure and should progress again. Although a half-brother to a five-furlong winner, he has a largely middle-distance pedigree and is likely to appreciate stepping up to at least seven furlongs.
Throubi
Fifth, Newmarket, September 17
Cost 135,000gns as a yearling and is the third foal of a Listed-placed winner around a mile and a half. Having been dropped in from her draw on the wide outside, she kept on fairly well and seems sure to come on for this first start.
Term Of Endearment
Third, Gowran, September 17
Ran an extraordinary race and was wearing a hood for the first time. She was at the back of the field and, despite ending up against the stands' rail in the last furlong, she went past most of the field. She has considerable ability.
Tanasoq
Ninth, Hamilton, September 18
Needs things to drop right but didn't get a good run through. He doesn't want the ground too testing but will have the option of returning to all-weather.

Dark Kestrel
Sixth, Yarmouth, September 13
Oeil De Tigre
Fifth, Wolverhampton, September 13
Doc Sportello
Third, Wolverhampton, September 13
Makinmedoit
Fifth, Yarmouth, September 14
Hills Of Gold
Sixth, Ayr, September 15
Derwent Boy
Third, Pontefract, September 15
Wynford
Third, Pontefract, September 15
Chantico
Third, Pontefract, September 15
Crownthorpe
Sixth, Pontefract, September 15
Menelaus
Third, Ayr, September 16
Double Martini
Fourth, Dundalk, September 16
Jump The Gun
Fifth, Ayr, September 17
Fox Journey
Sixth, Newbury, September 17
Bishop's Crown
Fifth, Newbury, September 17
Bloomwithgrace
Third, Newbury, September 17
Promising
Power Of Gold
Second, Ayr, September 15
A half-brother to May Hill Stakes winner Powerful Breeze, was well supported ahead of his debut run. He was never a threat to the winner, but this was an encouraging effort and he should be able to win something similar.
Courage Mon Ami
First, Kempton, September 16
Closely related to Listed winners Crimson Rosette and Astronomos plus Purple Ribbon. He produced a remarkable performance after exiting the stalls slowly and getting behind. Strong in the betting, he proved green and had loads of ground to make up turning in, but finished with such purpose that he picked up the second comfortably to win going away. It'll be interesting to see what is next, as there is a strong case for rating this effort in the 90s using the second's official mark as a guide.
Others of note
Azure Angel
Third, Yarmouth, September 15
Many Rivers
Fourth, Newbury, September 16
