Siskin impressed just about everyone in Saturday's Railway Stakes, but just how good was his winning performance?

Put simply, he was very good. The son of First Defence looks highly likely to become his sire's best progeny and his smooth winning performance has been awarded a Racing Post Rating of 115.

Despite being eased slightly close home, Colin Keane's mount still had two and a half lengths to spare over Monarch Of Egypt (107) and Coventry fourth Fort Myers (100), who has been rated nearly two lengths below his Ascot figure.
