Savills the new sponsor of Leopardstown's Grade 1 Christmas Chase

Savills, the international property firm, is to sponsor the three-mile Grade 1 chase at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting.
Formerly the Lexus Chase, the race was unsponsored and run as the Leopardstown Christmas Chase in 2017 and it was confirmed on Tuesday that Savills and Leopardstown have entered into a three-year sponsorship deal which will see the race run as The Savills Chase.
The race will be the main event on the third day of the Leopardstown Christmas festival, which will be titled The Savills day. The overall value of the race will be increased from €150,000 to €175,000 this year.
Pat Keogh, Leopardstown's chief executive, said: "We are delighted to welcome Savills to Leopardstown. The Savills Chase is a race with a fine history and it is wonderful to see such a strong international brand supporting it. We look forward to making this a very successful partnership."
Angus Potterton, managing director of Savills Ireland, said: "The Leopardstown Christmas festival has always been a significant occasion during the Christmas season in Ireland and the Grade 1 Savills Chase is the highlight of the week.
"The race brings together an elite group of horses, jockeys and trainers which mirrors our own business bringing together the very best talent in the property industry."
