Remember the name: Entitle, half-sister to Enable, makes debut at Newmarket
Oaks and Arc winner Enable might not be in action at Royal Ascot this week but another star could be in the making when the four-year-old's half-sister Entitle makes her debut on Saturday.
Running in the 7f novice stakes (2.10) at Newmarket, the juvenile makes her entrance in more illustrious surroundings than her half-sister, who won a mile maiden on the all-weather at Newcastle on her debut in November 2016.
At three, Enable went on to become a five-time Group 1 winner, her stellar roll of honour featuring two Classics, the Yorkshire Oaks, the King George and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
She is recovering from an injury that has put this year’s campaign on hold.
Entitle, who is by her owner-breeder Khalid Abdullah's own stallion Dansili, is ready to start off after pleasing in her work.
Trainer John Gosden said: "Entitle is more precocious than her sister so we thought we'd get her out and have a look at her.
"She's not worked on a lot of grass at home as it's too firm so she'll probably wonder what the green stuff is!"
