Intisaab out to repeat Scurry feat and has Frankie on board this time

3.25 Curragh
Tote Scurry Handicap | 6½f, 3yo+ | RTE2/RTV

Intisaab is back to defend the crown he swooped late to snatch last year and this time around the evergreen sprinter has the services of Frankie Dettori.

Not only that but he is running off a mark 2lb lower than the one he was successful off 12 months ago so there are certainly plenty of positives.

Two of the last three runnings have gone for export as the Michael Easterby-trained Perfect Pasture was successful in 2016.

Buffer Zone returns to the scene of his Irish debut success. The strapping son of Bated Breath was formerly in the care of Roger Charlton, but was snapped up for 50,000gns by his current connections and it looked a shrewd purchase at the Irish Derby festival as he dug deep to land a valuable sprint handicap.

The handicapper has had his say and handed him an 8lb penalty, but will it be enough to stop him from supplementing that success?

What they say

Jessica Harrington, trainer of Brick By Brick
We're hoping for rain and a bit of juice in the ground. He's drawn 19 and whether that will be a help or a hindrance we'll have to wait and see.

Sheila Lavery, trainer of Mr Scarlet
He's been an unlucky horse and it has taken a long time to get him back. We have him in the best place he's been in for some time but he might just need the run after such a long time off.

Richard Fahey, trainer of Gabrial The Saint
Gabrial The Saint will be suited by any rain and, although he has run over five furlongs the last twice, is versatile when it comes to trip.

Aidan Fogarty, trainer of On A Session
Any rain that falls will certainly be in his favour. We have a very good rider taking a very valuable 5lb off and the horse seems to be in very good form so fingers crossed for a decent run.

Joseph O'Brien, trainer of True Blue Moon
He won over five furlongs last time and we think the longer trip will suit. He's in good form and hopefully they won't get much rain as that would be a disadvantage.
