Haydock ground changed to heavy for 32Red Sprint Cup card
Haydock's 32Red Sprint Cup will be run on heavy ground for the second year running after persistent rain at the Merseyside course on Saturday morning.
The ground was described as soft, heavy in places on Saturday morning but clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright changed the official going after 6mm of rain fell at the course by 1pm.
The Sprint Cup takes place at 4.15pm. Harry Angel, running for the first time since getting injured at Royal Ascot in June, is the 11-10 favourite to retain his title. Tasleet, second to Harry Angel last year, is a market mover and is into 7-1 second favourite having been 10-1.
There are no non-runners in the feature race, but several are in for the other contests at Haydock.
