Ground conditions unchanged before final day of St Leger festival
Rain is not forecast to arrive at Doncaster until late Saturday afternoon with officials hoping it will stay away until after the William Hill St Leger at 3.35pm.
The going was good to soft, good in places on the straight course and good to soft on the round course after racing on Friday. Conditions are expected to be the same for the start of Saturday's card.
Clerk of the course Roderick Duncan said on Friday evening: "I'm content with the way we've had it today and there's no thoughts of changing the going at this stage.
"The jockeys were saying it was a riding perhaps a little bit dead, but it was not far away from what we described."
Rain had been predicted to arrive at Doncaster on Saturday morning, but racegoers are likely to stay dry until later in the afternoon.
"The rain we were forecast for the morning has dissipated but there is the chance for some significant rain towards the end of the card," Duncan said.
