Lah Ti Dar, a strong fancy for the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot on Thursday, has been ruled out of the race by trainer John Gosden.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber-owned filly missed the Investec Oaks at Epsom earlier this month due to an unsatisfactory blood test and is still not ready to run.

The three-year-old was a general 3-1 shot to maintain her unbeaten record in the Group 2 1m4f fillies' contest on the third day of the royal meeting.

Gosden said on Friday morning: "Lah Ti Dar won't be running at Royal Ascot. She's on her way back but she's not there yet."

The daughter of Dubawi, who impressed many with an impressive six-length win at Newbury on her debut, landed the Listed Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket in May, which launched her into 2-1 favouritism for the fillies' Classic at Epsom.

Oaks runner-up Wild Illusion heads the market for the Ribblesdale ahead of the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Salisbury novice stakes winner Sun Maiden.

Fabre without a Royal Ascot runner

Wind Chimes, who was among the leading fancies for next Friday's Coronation Stakes, will instead stay at home for the Group 3 Prix Paul de Moussac Longines at Chantilly on Sunday.

Wind Chimes' absence means it is a blank slate at Royal Ascot for trainer Andre Fabre, who has saddled nine winners at the meeting.

"The problem for Wind Chimes is she needs good to soft and Ascot is now good to firm," said Fabre on Friday morning. "She is training really well so I supplemented her for Chantilly."

The Coolmore-owned and bred daughter of Mastercraftsman will be ridden by Ryan Moore for the first time on Sunday when lining up against six colts, who include the Richard Hughes-trained Glendevon.

Moore has been declared at half a kilogram [1lb] overweight but can still take advantage of most of the fillies allowance.

"Obviously Ryan is available [as he is over for the Diane] but also Pierre-Charles [Boudot] couldn't make the weight," said Fabre.

Wind Chimes put a disappointing reappearance run behind her when flying late to be a close up third to Teppal in the Emirates Poule d'Essai des Pouliches from a near-impossible wide draw at Longchamp last month.

Clerk of the course Chris Stickels put 8mm of water on the track on Friday and said: "We're good to firm, good in places after watering this morning. We won't water Saturday but we likely will on Sunday and possibly Monday as it's a generally dry forecast. We may see a shower, they were originally forecast for Saturday, but if we do it looks like being minimal.

"The temperature's likely to be around 17-20C through to Sunday, and then warming up again at the start of next week. At the moment tohe forecast for next week is generally dry."
