Derby-winning jockey Padraig Beggy is back on the main stage and hoping to write another chapter in the most unlikeliest of fairytales courtesy of Hydrangea in the Coronation Stakes.

Since swooping late to snatch the most prestigious prize in Flat racing on Wings Of Eagles at Epsom this month, the 31-year-old County Meath native has had six rides and every single one of them has been 33-1 or bigger.

Finishing third in a 1m5f Leopardstown handicap on the Anthony McCann-trained He's Our Man earlier this month is the closest he has come to another victory since his Epsom heroics.

Now the Beggy baton is passed to Hydrangea as she attempts to bring the rider back into the spotlight.

Beggy knows Hydrangea inside out, having ridden her in half of her ten starts to date, and he was on board when she lowered the colours of the mighty Winter in the Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial. He was also the saddle when she took third to Winter in the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh.
