Bryan Cooper's tale of injury woes continued at Fairyhouse on Saturday as Gigginstown's number one was rushed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown for X-rays on a suspected broken arm following the first fence fall of odds-on favourite Ball D'Arc in the 2m beginners chase.

Cooper had started the day by winning the opening maiden hurdle on Usurp and, with two odds-on favourite still to come, it looked as though it would be a Saturday to savour for the 24-year-old.

But things turned nasty for Cooper when Grade 2-winning hurdler Ball D'Arc crashed out at the first fence.
