Zero Ten becomes the hero for Mullins duo with Grade 3 score at Thurles

Since its inception a couple of years ago, the concluding Saturday meeting at Thurles has been one of the most popular of the season.

Unfortunately, it had to be run in front of empty stands as racing continued behind closed doors in Ireland, but the feature Grade 3 novice chase, run in honour of the track's late owner and chairman Pierce Molony, certainly did not lack drama.

The Emmet Mullins-trained Zero Ten probably emerged as a worthy winner of the race as he looked set to pick off favourite Sizing Pottsie when that rival came down at the second-last, and he certainly had the measure of the chasing Cut The Mustard when she fell at the final fence.
