The Darley Yorkshire Oaks could be next on the agenda for Forever Together, according to Aidan O'Brien, after her bid to emulate Enable by winning the English and Irish Oaks was foiled in the final strides by Sea Of Class.

O'Brien has now supplied the runner-up in all four Irish Classics run so far in 2018, with Forever Together following in the footsteps of US Navy Flag (2,000 Guineas), Could It Be Love (1,000 Guineas) and Rostropovich (Derby).

This was more like the Forever Together we saw at Epsom, following her rather laboured effort over an inadequate 1m2f in the Pretty Polly Stakes on her previous outing, and O'Brien has pencilled in a trip to York next month for the daughter of Galileo.

He said: "We were very happy with Forever Together. I actually thought she ran very well in the Pretty Polly as that was over a shorter trip, which does not suit her as well."

He added: "We'll have a look at the Yorkshire Oaks next for Forever Together. That is a race which might suit her."

Magic Wand was the choice of Ryan Moore and punters reacted by supporting the Ribbesdale winner into 10-11 favouritism, but she was one of the first under pressure and faded into fifth.

O'Brien added: "I didn't get a chance to talk to Ryan afterwards. She didn't look herself so we'll have a look at her when we get her home to see how she is. I was a bit disappointed by her."

Bye Bye Baby gave another good account of herself, finishing fourth under Seamie Heffernan.

"Bye Bye Baby ran a lovely race and we were very happy with her," added O'Brien. "She's had a good season so far and you'd have to be happy with how she's performed."

Splitting Forever Together and Bye Bye Baby was 25-1 shot Mary Tudor, who ran a fine race under Billy Lee for Godolphin and Willie McCreery to be beaten only a length and three-quarters in third.

McCreery said: "I'm delighted with her. Half a furlong down I thought she might win, but the first two quickened again. That run opens up a lot of options for us and it’s onwards and upwards with her now."
