Yard favourite Bergerac delights Tom Eaves with success on 50th start

Tom Eaves hailed "yard favourite" Bergerac after the seven-year-old got back into the winner's enclosure on the lucrative Sky Bet Sunday Series card.
Eaves steered the 11-2 shot to victory by three-quarters of a length from Brooklyn Nine Nine.
The jockey said: "I couldn't fault him, he dug deep and I think the stiff five furlongs really suits him – he's a yard favourite at home."
It was a 50th start for the Kevin Ryan-trained sprinter, who had been steadily returning to form this season and narrowly missed out at York last month.
Eaves added: "He was coming off a good run, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about the ground as he always seems to have form on quicker."
Goldie finishes strongly
Trainer Jim Goldie had ten runners on the card, but was nowhere near victory with his first six representatives.
However, he had two runners in each of the last two contests and finished strongly to land both, with Abduction getting up close home to win the 6f handicap by a neck under Shane Gray, before Spanish Hustle gained his fifth course victory in the 1m3f apprentice handicap.
Kaiya Fraser did the steering on Spanish Hustle to take his record to three wins from eight rides for Goldie this year.
Good for Gesayed
Karl Burke's flying season with his two-year-olds continued after he landed the 6f novice with Gesayed.
Clifford Lee was on board the 80,000gns filly as the 9-2 shot edged past the favourite Big Fun to win on her debut by half a length.
