'With stamina assured I'd much rather back him for the Derby than the Guineas'
Too Darn Hot is now no bigger than 5-1 for the Guineas and Derby - what's your take on that?
Tom Collins
He looked really good, didn't he? Too Darn Hot gave the useful and highly regarded Phoenix Of Spain plenty of rope with three furlongs to go but made up that ground impressively and he screams a Classic hope for next season. But with stamina assured, I'd much rather back him for the Derby at those prices than the Guineas. I think Aidan O'Brien's Ten Sovereigns could rate a danger in the first Classic of the year at Newmarket.
James Hill
He's all class, a Group 1 winner in waiting, and it's hard to argue with his Classic odds. Given the speed he shows, you could question whether he'd turn up at Epsom. However, I think we can certainly expect him to get further than a mile and his breeding suggests middle-distances are worth a try. His yard's record in the Derby is a fair bit better than it is in the Guineas too.
